It’s a prison run…. to the Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine in East Granby, CT.  This was the country’s first copper mine (1707) and the first state prison (1773).  https://portal.ct.gov/decd/content/historic-preservation/04_state_museums/old-newgate-prison-and-copper-mine. 
It’s currently a museum offering tours. Our route crosses into Massachusetts along some incredible roads, where we will be grabbing lunch in Southwick before we jump across the border back into CT to visit the museum.
